Da-Lite Screen Company Announces Sponsorship of rAVe GreenAV

June 8th, 2010

Da-Lite Screen Company is proud to announce that it will be one of the first new sponsors of rAVe GreenAV, the new eNewsletter from rAVe [Publications]. The new monthly newsletter will begin publication in late summer of 2010, and will feature Scott Walker, past InfoComm President and founder of Waveguide Consulting, as contributing editor. rAVe GreenAV will focus on energy efficient, environmentally conscious, and sustainable AV product news from companies in the AV industry, both commercial and residential.

“With government money being spent on green projects, and corporations requesting green products and LEED-certified designers, it’s become apparent that green is not just a fad, and something that all AV insiders need to be paying attention to,” said rAVe Publisher Gary Kayye. “This isn’t just about saving the environment anymore – it’s also about winning bids and saving money. AV integrators need a resource dedicated to covering these issues within our specific industry – one that will cut through all the lying out there with manufacturer specs related to GreenAV.”

“Da-Lite is proud to be one of the first sponsors of rAVe GreenAV,” stated Richard Lundin, Chairman and CEO of Da-Lite.  “This is another step in Da-Lite’s continued green efforts, which include ISO 14001 Certification for environmental management systems, GREENGUARD® and GREENGUARD® Children and Schools Certification for over twenty projection screen surfaces and the Screen Green Exchange Program.  rAVe GreenAV is an excellent fit for Da-Lite and our commitment to sustainable practices within the AV industry.”

Scott Walker, CTS-D, LEED® AP, is the perfect contributing editor for rAVe GreenAV as he currently serves as the chair of InfoComm’s AV Sustainability Rating System Task Force, which is charged with creating an AV sustainability rating system for all so-called GreenAV products and projects. Scott is currently president of Waveguide Consulting, a Georgia-based independent technology consulting firm specializing in acoustics, AV, videoconferencing, and data/telecom system consulting and design. He’s been in the AV market for more than 20 years.
